Birthday Fun

Yeah, somewhat brain-dead. Anyway!

Birthday was on Monday, but it was celebrated on Saturday with one of my best friends who lives off in Richland (a year and exactly two weeks apart - she's older). I was very happy - new MP3 player from Dad, mom got me a new pendant for my necklace and a holder for said MP3 player, Andrew got me the Sonic Mega Collection, and my friend got me a card. Grandma and Grandpa Jensen had also sent me a $25 check in the mail as well as a card.

More gifts came on Monday the 15th when I actually turned 15. Grandma Joan sent me a $35 dollar gift certificate for Amazon.com (which I quickly spent on a video game that I have wanted for ages now) and Aunt Jeanne got me black hair dye (it's part of an idea I have planned), a card, and $20 worth in gift cards for Hastings. I am very happy now.

Oh, that reminds me...last week, tryouts for the school play were held. I am very, very happy, because rehearsals first started on my birthday, and I got to see if I got a part. And I do! *cue squeals of happiness* The play is called Shoestring Theater, and I'm supposed to play an airhead by the name of Denise. My hair will most likely still be black in December when we actually put it on, since I'm getting it dyed on Saturday. Ah, well, as Mr. L. said, "Airheads come in all shades." It works.

Speaking of Mr. L.'s classes, since he's also one of my choir teachers, all choirs perform next week on Thursday. This means that starting Monday, we're gonna be working with the Rhythm Section for practice. This also means that once the concert's done with, I get to sleep in on Friday! Either way, I am very excited - now I need to find a pair of black slacks or something...

S and D are arriving this afternoon. Huzzah, frantic cleaning of the house... Ah, well, I can deal - my room needs cleaning, anyway.

Y'know, I am constantly amazed (and relieved) at how little loot it takes to make her deliriously happy. Perfect, she is. Really.
