Hatred and Terror Bit the Dust

Now all that's left is Destruction.

Mom and I have been playing Diablo 2 multiplayer for some time now. The Maiden of Anguish went down quickly, as did the Prince of Pain. We completed Act III within a day, including beating the crap out of Mephisto, Lord of Hatred (we both died once), and did the same with Act IV after finishing off Diablo after what felt like eternity. We died so many times in that fight, it's not even funny. Didn't help that mom's mouse started to go dead on us in the middle of the fight, so I basically picked off what I could from him until mom got back. Problem? When we both went back into the fight, he had completely regenerated. Not cool, not cool at all. Thank goodness Mom was playing a Sorceress while I was an Assassin. I'd distract the Lord of Terror with Shadow (a summoned creature that looks exactly like my character) for a few seconds while Mom came up behind him and hit him with Static Field, a spell that knocks down quite a bit of his hit points. It was mainly distract-and-shoot, but we won in the end. Did I mention that we died so many times in that fight, it wasn't even funny?

Now our characters are in upper-twenties and heading up Mount Arreat after the final Prime Evil, Baal, Lord of Destruction. Hopefully, his AI in the final battle won't have changed and I'll be able to corner him then trap him with my Wake of Fire/Inferno traps. BWAHAHAHAHA. In the meanwhile, we have trapped Barbarians to rescue in the next session.

Washed the van today. We're heading to the cabin this weekend, but we're leaving Sunday. School starts Tuesday. Did I mention that I'm scared as heck about that?
